Bell Pepper Poker Award in Korea

Often a person’s character is overlooked of a crisis series. However, Korean writer Kim Eun-hee’s character is very well toned and told. She has an interest for reading and humanities books. She writes for a variety of magazines and has written many novels. She has additionally done popular TV dramas like Sign, Phantom and Kingdom.

Her first historical script was Kingdom. The film was inspired by the Annals of King Sunjo, a collection of historical records kept daily from 1413 to 1865. The story was illustrated by Yang Kyung-il.

Kim Eun-hee received a Presidential Commendation for Kingdom at the Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards. The film also won Best Drama at the 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards. She can be on the Variety’s “Women That Have Made An Impact in Global Entertainment” list.

Kingdom has been released on VOD service. It’s the first Korean TV series to be released on Netflix. The story follows Eun-hee (Park Ji-hu), a 14-year-old girl who grows up in the 1990s.

In this first season, she learns about her family and her relationship with her father. She can be invited to a dinner party. She also learns about her relationship with her boyfriend. The drama also centers on the power dynamics of maintaining income disparity. It shows how a rich get things every time they want. The actual villain in the drama is the lust for power.
